In February 2022, Russia launched an invasion of Ukraine. In a short time, Russia occupied much of the eastern territory in Ukraine. IMSI (International Mission Stations, Inc.) was already established in the country when the war began. The year before the war in an astonishing series of events, 100 plus acres of land in Ukraine and 2 large buildings with a total of 36,000 square feet had been donated to IMSI. This facility, in an undisclosed location, is affectionately called Place of Hope. Shortly after the war began, a team from IMSI traveled into Ukraine and took part in delivering much needed supplies to refugees. Driving with a large convoy of vans, we had the privilege to distribute much needed supplies to meet the basic needs of 3,000 refugees. IMSI distributed food, prescription medicines, I.V. bags with antibiotics and wound care packages. Many of these refugees continued traveling to other countries to begin their life anew.
Since the war began, many Ukrainian soldiers have been killed in battle. These deaths have left many widows and fatherless children to deal with the ravages of war alone. IMSI continues to travel to Ukraine to serve the people left with little to no resources. Our vision is to use Place of Hope for those in need of help around the country. The homeless, alcohol addicted, wounded, widowed and motherless are all welcome at Place of Hope. IMSI is ready for them. Since the war began, IMSI has also been helping Ukrainian refugees now living in Romania. We try to supplement their incomes and provide the necessities of life. We have provided yearly summer camps where displaced children can come enjoy a couple of weeks of stability and a little fun.
While the western plains of Ukraine are covered with beautiful sunflower fields, war’s ugliness mars the geography of the east. Please help us as we endeavor to continue helping these women, children, and wounded men. We need your financial help as we try to provide for these people’s needs and maintain the buildings at Place of Hope. We need $250,000 to meet their needs.
Please help us help the hurting in Ukraine.
